Updating / promises

No idea what happened to this one... I blame the introduction of the clunky Blackboard VLE at my unviersity, where all the virtual stuff for this module has been housed for the last three years. Nevermind, with any luck, BB will be getting a little less clunky over the next year - which will mean putting a lot more links and commentaries here. Promises, promises.
